Helping businesses get ready for BIM
A2K Technologies is an industry-leading BIM solutions, training, consulting and management firm with offices in Australia, New Zealand and China. Our experience includes direct experience delivering BIM services to multi-billion dollar projects across these countries.
The long-mooted government adoption of BIM standards is dramatically accelerating the expectation and requirement that businesses across the architectural, engineering and construction industries will develop BIM expertise and experience.
A2K Technologies has industry-experienced, knowledgeable staff to ensure your business can achieve a competitive position within the changing industry. We will tailor our training and consulting to meet your objectives, logically and strategically.
Trust our services and knowledge to greatly enhance your business capabilities, your project outcomes – and, across Australia – your viability for any future government work.
Training in BIM
A2K Technologies is highly regarded as an expert trainer in BIM adoption, processes and management. We tailor and customise training to meet every client's specific project or business needs.
We also offer introductory BIM training every month – enabling our clients to introduce BIM to their existing and new staff with minimum disruption.
Our other training courses include:
beginners' and advanced Autodesk training
BIM management training
up-skilling Directors to understand BIM processes and deliverables using Revit
change management: workflow and technology transitioning.
All training is delivered at an A2K Technologies office or onsite.
Our experience in delivering BIM projects enables us to provide our clients with expert consulting.
Mentoring on site
The most efficient way to ensure a project meets deadlines and deliverables, our mentoring includes on-site tuition, reinforcing previous learning, assisting with project planning and set-up, and project-specific training.
We provide all of the documentation you need to ensure your staff are using software consistently, effectively and productively. Our documents include software standards manuals, best practice guidelines and company procedures. They incorporate project-wide best practice for modelling and documenting, and clearly map processes in between software, tasks, set-ups and quality control.
BIM Management Plan Templates
The key to a successful BIM project is a concise BIM management plan. This template will ensure expectations, roles and responsibilities are clearly established at the beginning of a project, and then executed throughout until final delivery.
Template Creation and Customisation
Templates are essential to streamline project development at an early project design stage. A2K Technologies can accelerate the process and help customise templates to specific business needs.
Our experienced design and construction staff have the detailed knowledge to review and understand existing office process and workflows. We use the new technologies available to identify approaches that can be used to obtain better outcomes – including improved efficiencies, better quality control and reduced risk.
Systems and Project Auditing
A fresh pair of eyes on your existing systems is vital to ensure your business is going in the right direction. Following a detailed audit, A2K Technologies can report on your current office systems or projects to help your business set clear goals on moving ahead.
Quality content that meets industry needs and standards – including Australian and New Zealand Revit Standards (ANZRS) – is our specialty.
Efficiency and Workflow Applications (APIs)
On medium to large-scale projects, Revit can be limited by specific task efficiency and workflows. We offer a wide variety of application plug-ins that offer a full return on investment in a matter of months. At A2K Technologies, we can also create customised API plug-ins to meet firm-specific needs and workflows.
Knowledge Smart is our web-based solution for skills assessment. By using Knowledge Smart, firms can strategically ensure their staff have the required skills to meet business needs, and that potential employees meet expectations.
Project BIM Management
We provide project management specifically for the design and construction industries –ranging from BIM management plans to project-specific process workflows, clash detection and field BIM solutions. Our integrated approach ensures a streamlined coordinated project outcome.
The building design solutions provided are the tools and technology you need to bring design ideas to life. From industry-leading design and drafting software to the Revit platform for building information modeling (BIM), a robust set of architecture software solutions that help you improve productivity, deliver innovative design ideas, and manage change throughout the project lifecycle.
Building information modeling, or BIM, is an integrated workflow built on coordinated, reliable information about a project from design through construction and into operations.
By adopting BIM, architects, engineers, contractors, and owners can easily create coordinated, digital design information and documentation; use that information to accurately predict performance, appearance, and cost; and reliably deliver the project faster, more economically, and with reduced environmental impact.
Purpose-built for building information modeling (BIM), Revit® software works the way architects, engineers and designers think, so you create naturally, design freely, and deliver efficiently.
A new revolution has entered the Architectural Engineering & Construction (AEC) industries. We are now in the midst of the biggest change to our industry since the adoption of CAD in the early 80's. Processes like BIM, Sustainable design, Digital prototyping, Collaboration and geospatial referencing and tools like Revit, Map, Civil 3D, Ecotect and Navisworks have dramatically changed the way we think about designing, documenting and constructing projects. No longer is it just about learning how to use the software you design with, it is a total process change that requires companies to redevelop standards, Libraries and working protocols. To succeed in an increasingly competitive and rapidly changing global market, the Architectural, Engineering & Construction industry must take a new approach to doing business. A2K Technologies consulting group helps clients adapt to change by partnering our people with your team to develop and implement real solutions for your business.
As a result of these industry changes A2k strategic consulting division are currently working within the industry as BIM managers, BIM Consultants, BIM documenters, BIM Modellers and BIM system developers on key marquee BIM projects. We have been drawing on local and international benchmarking and project experience in technology, development and business practises to:
Improve your organisation's performance, processes, systems and people
Develop and grow your program and portfolio management and delivery capability
Provide industry documents, systems and standards that reflect global best practice
Develop BIM strategies and integrate them in to the fabric of your organisation
Reduce the risk involved in integrating new systems.
We have industry ready technical people in all disciplines that are available to engage in your business on a contract, permanent, consulting or semi permanent level to assist with the integration of this change within your business. It does not matter if you are a large or small business we can accommodate the integration because our technical people look at every company on an individual basis rather than formalising generic training packs as happens in some other businesses.
